ABOUT ARRIVEDERCI by GIGI

I was born in the quaint village of Alia prov of Palermo, in Sicily. As a little girl I learned the most important things in life from my adoring parents and grandparents. They taught me to appreciate the little things in life as well as how to cook starting from scratch. The women always told me the way to a man’s heart was through his belly.

I was very fortunate to have a family that cared so much, and I was quite fascinated with all that I was learning. Not only was I taught how to cook everything from scratch (because in Sicily, that is the only way to prepare a meal), they also taught me to pick grapes and make homemade wines. When I was 13 years old, our family set out for the Country of opportunity, the USA! We landed in Hackensack NJ where my family opened an Italian deli where we all worked as a family. This gave me the opportunity to develop an entrepreneurial passion to one day own my very own deli or restaurant.

As the years went by, I married and started a family. I have been very blessed with 3 wonderful children and 10 beautiful grandchildren which I am hoping to pass my legacy to one day. In 2015 I met Chef Franco and worked for him part time. As the years go by, I became a 50/50 owner of Arrivederci Pinnacle Peak with him. At the end of 2020 we endured the death of Mr Franco and since that time I have taken over full ownership of Arrivederci Pinnacle Peak.

Since that time it has been a tremendous blessing to get to know so many of you. I truly love what I do and I love my customers as family. I put my passion for cooking into every single dish. I’m not going to lie, it has been a tremendous struggle being on my own, but the same people who taught me to cook also taught me strength, humility, faith, and positivity. These principles get me through life! Thank you all for your love and support! I am very proud of Arrivederci and hope you enjoy your time here and your meat Hope to see you again soon.

With love,

GIGI
